Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the President of the European Council

On the sidelines of the global summit on food security, the Head of State met with Charles Michel, the President of the European Council.

During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Charles Michel considered the prospects for strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the European Union, paying special attention to the development of political dialogue and expansion of trade and economic cooperation.

The leaders noted with satisfaction the consistent implementation of the agreements reached following the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Brussels in November 2021.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev informed Charles Michel about the main directions of political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan.

The Head of State and the President of the European Council agreed to maintain regular contacts.
