APPROXIMATELY 18 MILLION SEK FOR RESEARCH WITH THE BUSINESS SECTOR
CTF receives approximately 18 million SEK from the Knowledge Foundation for a new research project in collaboration with the business sector. In the project the researchers will examine how experiences and development of services through digitalization is affecting customers and companies. Read more.

FOUR WAYS TO REDUCE FOOD WASTE DURING THE HOLIDAYS
During the holidays there is a lot of focus on food. It is the time of the year when we consume in abundance and throw away more food than ever- at the same time as we know that food waste has a negative impact on our climate and what we choose to eat and how we handle the food matters. So, what can we do to reduce the food waste? Researcher Helén Williams at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, gives us some practical advice. Read more.

NEW FOOD PACKAGING PROJECT AWARDED SUSTAINABILITY PRIZE
On December 5, researchers at CTF received the Lidl Future Initiatives award of 3.8 million SEK to start up a new research project on transformative packaging design. The project aims to increase consumers’ and packaging developers’ knowledge of plastic food packaging. Read more.

THE IMPACT OF DIGITALISATION ON SOCIAL RELATIONS, ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The effects of digitalisation result in continuous organisational changes. These changes affect the physical, psychosocial, and organisational work environment. Ann Bergman, Carin Håkansta and Poja Shams at Karlstad Business School, Karlstad University, will study how digitalisation affects the form and content of different occupations along with social relations and interactions in a new project. Read more.

ANDER VISITING PROFESSOR AT KARLSTAD UNIVERSITY IS ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST CITED RESEARCHERS
Recently, the Web of Science Group published the list "Highly Cited Researchers 2019" recognizing the world’s most cited and influential researchers. On the list, and top 1% of most cited in Economics and Business, is Stephen L. Vargo, Ander Visiting Professor at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University. Read more.
