Reflecting on an eventful Half-Year

Almedalen 2024

It has been an eventful half-year for Ingrid Capacity. Alongside our historic expansion of energy storage facilities across 14 sites connected to the Swedish power grid and the development of our ambitious European pipeline, we have also contributed to the ongoing discussion on the energy transition.

A successful energy transition requires collaboration among various stakeholders who share experiences and work together to find solutions for our common future. Therefore, we are grateful for the eventful past months and the high recognition we have received, during which we participated in numerous events and panel discussions where spokespersons from Ingrid Capacity shared their expertise. Highlights from the past six months:

Participation in Panels and Events

Ingrid Capacity's CSO, Nicklas Bäcker, who is also seen as a front figure in the energy transition, has shared his expertise in various contexts. He joined the podcast Solecellskollen with the host Erik Wallnér to discuss large-scale batteries, was interviewed by Google Cloud and Eva Fors, Managing Director for the Nordic region, delving into the importance of AI and Cloud in the energy transition, and was featured on the Nordic leading podcast on energy and tech, Energistrategipodden with the host Niclas Sigholm to discuss the role of flexible assets in the future of energy systems.

Ingrid Capacity's COO, Karin Lindberg Salevid, participated in Impact Loop's premier event BUILD, discussing Sweden's energy transition with other talented women from the energy and tech sectors.

Successful Almedalen Week

The Almedalen Week was filled with exciting and educational days. Our CEO, Axel Holmberg, joined a discussion hosted by UN Global Compact Network Sweden on how sustainability can be a competitive advantage for Swedish companies. Our COO Karin Lindberg Salevid was part of a panel organized by EY on accelerating the development of Sweden's energy system. Both Karin and our Head of Project Development, Lisbet Ersson, participated in roundtable discussions with LKAB and Teknikföretagen, respectively.

Ingrid Capacity also hosted several events, including two successful panel discussions. The first, "What Can the Energy Industry Learn from Tech Leaders?", featured Niclas Sigholm, host of Energistrategipodden, Tomas Ohlson, Founding Engineer at Einride, Linda-Maria Wadman, CCO Plexigrid, and our Head of Tech, Andreas Langholz. The panel was moderated by Clara Humla, Data Engineer at Ingrid Capacity. The second panel, "Sweden, Join the Global Energy Race", included Johanna Lakso, CEO at Power Circle, Johan Svenningsson, CEO at Uniper Sweden, Bo Normark, Industrial Strategy Executive at EIT InnoEnergy, and our CEO, Axel Holmberg. Gerard Reid, Co-host of the global leading podcast Redefining Energy, provided insights on the importance of handling the energy transition with speed and scale. This panel was hosted by our COO, Karin Lindberg Salevid.
