“With this new technology we will be able to build more compact, efficient, and optimized inverters, utilizing the full potential of the components. This project will be done together with QRTECH, a technology pathfinder enriching the project with their excellence in power electronics and InfiMotion contributing with broad knowledge of system simulation and optimization as well as manufacturing”, says Simon Klacar, Manager Propulsion Systems and Electric Drive, at InfiMotion Technology and responsible for this project.

“As a leader in electrification, QRTECH are at the forefront of driving the transformation towards a sustainable future. While we have gained considerable expertise in power electronics, we are dedicated to actively supporting the transition towards electrification technologies, playing a meaningful role in their advancement. We are eagerly anticipating the start of this exciting project in collaboration with InfiMotion Technology.” Andreas Käck, Research and Business development at QRTECH.

This project has received a grant from the Swedish Energy Agency with the motivation that it reinforces Gothenburg technical leadership within automotive electric drives and enables cooperation between small and medium enterprises in cutting edge technology development. A new efficient transmission solution for EVs are expected to benefit both men and women equally as the project will support the transition to clean transport and lowered emissions, which will have a profound impact on improved living conditions for all members of the society.
