Cherry Hill, New Jersey (August 11, 2023) - When you buy Girl Scout Cookies, you're supporting the world's largest girl-led entrepreneurial program. For over a century, Girl Scouts has been selling these delicious treats. But there's more to it than just satisfying your sweet tooth. By purchasing these cookies, you're helping our region's young people grow and thrive.

Selling cookies isn't just about raising funds. It's an educational experience for Girl Scouts where they learn valuable skills like goal setting, money management, and decision-making. Through this entrepreneurial program, they develop the capabilities they need to become strong leaders and succeed in their own businesses. It's a space for them to learn, grow, and expand their horizons.

This week, we celebrated the top 2023 Girl Scout Cookie sellers in the GSCSNJ region. These remarkable Girl Scouts enjoyed an evening at a Philadelphia Phillies game in a private box at Citizens’ Bank Park.  Believe it or not, these Girl Scouts collectively sold almost 30,000 boxes! They are:

Emma T,  Troop 19711, who sold 3600 boxes

AnnaBelle W,  Troop 50412, who sold 3408 boxes

Alexa L, Juliette, who sold 3144 boxes

Shelby B, Troop 51215, who sold 3110 boxes

Addison M,  Troop 51235, who sold 2914 boxes

Samantha L, Troop 71147, who sold 2837 boxes

Savannah S, Troop 11439, who sold 2742 boxes

Madison R, Troop 66223, who sold 2739 boxes

Bella K, Troop 61049, who sold 2595 boxes

Isadora M, Troop 70289, who sold 2555 boxes

By purchasing cookies, you're not just getting tasty treats for your pantry. You're also supporting life-changing programs in our community. The proceeds from the sales stay local, providing aid to underprivileged families and supporting local troops, schools, and non-profits. Your contribution truly makes a difference in the lives of thousands every day.

Another way Girl Scouts make a difference is through the Cookie Share program. In 2023, Girl Scouts collected donations for cookies to be donated to special programs in our area. This year, GSCSNJ Girl was able to donate an impressive 44,568 boxes of cookies to various programs, including:

  • Community Food Bank of NJ, Egg Harbor, NJ
  • Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, Ewing, NJ
  • Replenish Food Bank, East Brunswick, NJ
  • Capital Health Hospital, Hopewell, NJ
  • Virtual Hospital, Voorhees, NJ
  • AtlantiCare Hospital, Atlantic City, NJ
  • Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ
  • South Jersey Food Bank

Purchasing cookies may seem like a small act, but its impact is immeasurable. By buying these cookies, you support an initiative that helps girls become leaders, entrepreneurs, and problem solvers. You're investing in the future of today's Girl Scouts, who will go on to become confident, competent, and courageous leaders of tomorrow.

About Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey

Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
