Fristads shortlisted for the UK Green Business Awards, joins as headline sponsor

Fristads has been shortlisted for the UK Green Business Awards 2026 in the category Manufacturer of the Year and will also participate as headline sponsor of the event.

The nomination recognizes Fristads’ work to help customers reduce the environmental impact of their workwear through durable design, product-level environmental data and circular services. Fristads was selected from hundreds of entries.

First in the world with EPDs for clothing

Fristads was the first company in the world to introduce Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for clothing, providing third-party verified data on a garment’s environmental impact across its entire lifecycle. This allows customers to compare products, make more informed procurement decisions and report Scope 3 emissions from workwear.

The company has since expanded the use of EPDs across its collections and continues to develop workwear with a lower environmental footprint than conventionally produced garments, without compromising on safety, durability or performance. It has also rolled out a comprehensive circular service offering encompassing repairs, reuse and recycling. Called Sustainability as a Service, the initiative aims to extend the life of workwear and ensure that it is managed responsibly when worn out.

In addition to the nomination, Fristads has chosen to support the UK Green Business Awards as headline sponsor.
