Jyrki Makkonen appointed Plant Director of FORCIT’s new TNT production facility

FORCIT has appointed Jyrki Makkonen as Plant Director of its new TNT production facility currently under construction in Noormarkku, Pori, Finland.

FORCIT has appointed Jyrki Makkonen as Plant Director of its new TNT production facility currently under construction in Noormarkku, Pori, Finland. Makkonen will take up the position on 14 September 2026.

Makkonen has strong experience in international industrial technology and the process industry. During his career, he has led large organisations, developed operational excellence, and advanced demanding industrial development projects.

In his new role, Makkonen will be responsible for leading the future TNT business operations. The plant is scheduled to begin production in 2028. His leadership expertise supports FORCIT’s goal of building a safe, efficient and long-term competitive production facility that strengthens Europe’s defence industrial capacity.
