Zhiyun introduces Weebill 5, a compact camera gimbal that combines a built-in handgrip, integrated AI tracking and a 1.8-inch touchscreen in an all-in-one design. With a payload capacity of up to 3 kg, native portrait shooting and an integrated fill light, the new model is designed for both professional productions and everyday content creation.

The integrated handgrip is built directly into the gimbal body, removing the need to attach a separate handle for low-angle shooting. It can also be used as an extension pole and supports quick changes between low-angle, overhead and static shooting positions. An adjustable wrist rest helps distribute the load during longer sessions.

Built-in AI tracking for faster solo shooting

Weebill 5 also introduces integrated AI tracking for people, pets and vehicles. Subjects can be selected directly on the 1.8-inch touchscreen, locked using the trigger button or controlled through gesture recognition. Tracking works at distances of up to 10 m, with a stated response time of 0.2 seconds or less. Smart occlusion recovery helps the gimbal relocate a subject after it has temporarily been blocked or moved out of frame.

The touchscreen provides direct access to gimbal settings and can also be used for monitoring when shooting from low angles. For vertical content, native portrait mode makes it possible to switch between landscape and portrait orientation without additional accessories or re-leveling the gimbal.

An integrated fill light provides additional illumination for indoor, night-time and backlit scenes. The light can be adjusted between 2700 K and 9000 K, has a CRI above 95 and delivers up to 2150 lux at a distance of 0.3 m.

Compact design with room to expand

Weebill 5 weighs 1080 g and measures 210 × 65 × 317 mm. Its payload capacity of up to 3 kg makes it suitable for a wide range of full-frame camera and lens combinations. 1/4"-inch accessory mounts on both sides of the handle can be used for microphones, monitors, lights and other accessories.

The dual-layer quick-release system is designed to simplify mounting and balancing. Both plates can be removed separately, while the upper plate follows the Arca-Swiss standard. This makes it possible to remove and reinstall a camera without having to completely rebalance the setup.Weebill 5 is powered by two 2600 mAh batteries and provides up to 9 hours of operating time, with a stated charging time of approximately 2 hours. Bluetooth connectivity also allows compatible cameras to start and stop recording directly from the gimbal handle.
