Norwegian photography glove specialist Vallerret launches versatile mitt and liner system designed for creators working in extreme winter conditions

Few things can be as cold as handling camera gear in the winter without gloves. Metal camera bodies and tripods become painfully cold to touch, making outdoor photography sessions challenging for even the most dedicated photographers.

Vallerret specialists in making gloves for creators and outdoor people, are introducing a new series of gloves – Senja. The new series consists of two gloves: Senja Mitt and Senja Liner. The gloves work alone or combined for added warmth in cold weather.

Senja Mitt – maximum warmth with full camera control

The Senja Mitt combines expedition-level insulation with practical photography features. The mitt design provides superior warmth retention compared to fingered gloves, while the fold-back thumb and index finger caps allow precise camera control when needed. Built with a weatherproof outer shell and synthetic insulation, the mitt maintains warmth even in wet conditions. A secure wrist leash ensures the gloves stay attached during active shooting sessions.

Senja Liner – versatile base layer protection

The Senja Liner functions as both a standalone glove for milder conditions and an insulating base layer under the Senja Mitt. Constructed with merino wool blend fabric, the liner provides natural temperature regulation and moisture management. The conductive fingertips enable touchscreen operation without removing the gloves, maintaining workflow efficiency in the field. Beyond photography, the Senja Liner is also great for other outdoor activities such as birding or hunting.
