Tamron introduces its first lens for Nikon Z

Tamron 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD

Tamron boosts the Nikon Z-system with the world's smallest and lightest telephoto zoom in its class, the Tamron 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD.

It is a versatile lens that is suitable for several different situations such as sports, wildlife and portraits. Telephoto zooms are often large and clunky, but not this one. It weighs only 580g and measures only 150.3mm but still delivers an amazing image quality and is designed to match the size of Nikons Z-mount cameras.

Lens construction consists of 15 lenses in 10 groups. An LD (Low Dispersion) lens element reduces chromatic aberration. At 300mm, a commonly used telephoto focal length, the design delivers excellent resolution from edge-to-edge. The new zoom creates extremely crisp and clear images throughout the entire zoom range due to Tamron’s BBAR coating, which is world-renowned for its great anti-reflection performance.

The lens has a moisture-resistant construction, which enables outdoor photography even in harsh weather conditions. Autofocus is powered by the exceptionally quiet and fast RXD steping motor and allows users to maintain tack-sharp focus even on continuously moving subjects.

Thanks to the exceedingly quiet AF the lens works great in situations that require low noise levels such as video shooting.

The new 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD can easily be used with the dedicated Tamron Lens Utility software for quick and easy firmware updates.

The new lens will start to ship end of September.
