Originally launched in 2021 for Sony E and Fujifilm X mounts, the Tamron 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD, a highly versatile all-in-one zoom lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras, is now announced for development for Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts.
The Tamron 18-300mm features an unprecedented 16.6x zoom range—from wide-angle at 18mm to ultra-telephoto at 300mm (equivalent to approximately 27-450mm on Nikon Z and 28.8-480mm on Canon RF)—allowing you to effortlessly capture everything from vast landscapes and travel snapshots to detailed portraits, sports events, wildlife, and macro photography without ever needing to change your lens.
Despite its wide zoom range, this lens remains compact and travel-friendly. A lightweight construction makes it ideal for holidays, hiking adventures, or everyday photography. Its impressive minimum object distance (MOD) of just 15cm at the wide-angle end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2 allow you to take striking macro shots filled with vivid detail and clarity.
At the heart of its superior performance is Tamron’s high-speed, high-precision VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) autofocus system, offering quick, quiet, and accurate focusing ideal for capturing fast-moving subjects like birds or wildlife. Additionally, the lens includes Tamron’s renowned Vibration Compensation (VC) image stabilization, ensuring stable, blur-free results even at longer focal lengths or in low-light situations.
The Tamron 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD is expected to be released this summer. The suggested retail price will be revealed at a later date.
