Ricoh expands the iconic GR series with the new limited Ricoh GR III Diary Edition. The new model is based on the GR III but comes with a new look and new features. The camera has a warm metallic grey color with a dark brown grip and silver ring cap around the lens.
Rooted in the analog era, the series has achieved an almost iconic status in its 20 years of existence. Thanks to its quality combined with an intuitive design, the camera has become a popular tool for street photographers and storytellers worldwide.
The new camera comes with a modern look and features that will facilitate and inspire to shoot everyday photography.
One of the new features is that the camera displays the number of images captured during the day and the firmware version just before its power is shut off.
It also features an exciting new image-control mode that provides a negative-film finishing touch. Based on the visual effects created only by negative film, this mode produces an exquisite balance between rich colors and somewhat discolored prints resulting from using negative film.
When the camera’s power is turned off, the camera displays an original shut-down screen featuring the original, emboss-type product logo, against a background harmonizing a fabric-like texture and a color symbolizing the camera body finish.
Ricoh GR III Diary Edition is designed for those who want to develop their skills as a photographer. Despite its pocket-friendly size, it has the performance of a bigger professional camera. It features a 24-megapixel APS-C format image sensor, a 28mm wide-angle lens, built-in image stabilization, and manual control of exposure and other important settings.
