Nanlite launches two spotlights for high-output production lighting

Nanlite FC-720Nanlite FC-720

Nanlite expands its FC series with two 750W LED spotlights: the bi-color FC-720B and the full-color FC-720C. Both fixtures weigh approximately 4.4 kg and target productions that require high illuminance and accurate color reproduction. Applications include film and TV production, live streaming, portrait photography, and any scenario where strong output is needed to light larger scenes or emulate sunlight.

Output

The FC-720B delivers 12,690 lux at 3 meters when set to 5600K and used with a 45° reflector. The FC-720C, which adds full-color capability, reaches 11,400 lux at 5600K and 3,700 lux in green at the same distance with the same reflector.

Color temperature and adjustment

The FC-720B offers a correlated color temperature range of 2,700K to 6,500K. It includes two output behaviors within CCT mode: Maximum Output provides the highest possible brightness at any selected color temperature, while Constant Output maintains consistent brightness across the full CCT range. The FC-720B also includes an Effect mode with 12 special effects that have adjustable parameters. Color rendition metrics for the FC-720B are CRI average 96, TLCI average 98, and TM-30 values of Rf average 95 and Rg average 100. SSI values are 84 at 3200K and 74 at 5600K.

The FC-720C extends the color temperature range to 2,400K–12,000K and adds ±150 green/magenta adjustment. This wider range and G/M control allow users to match mixed lighting conditions on set or simulate natural daylight more precisely. The FC-720C provides five lighting modes: CCT, HSI, RGBW, Gel, and Effect. The Gel mode includes 460 preset gels for quickly achieving specific lighting looks. The Effect mode offers 15 special effects with adjustable parameters. Color rendition metrics for the FC-720C are CRI average 95, TLCI average 94, and TM-30 values of Rf average 92 and Rg average 100. SSI values are 84 at 3200K and 71 at 5600K.

Control options

Both fixtures feature a 2-inch display with two control knobs and buttons for on-board operation. The control panels provide quick access to CCT, hue, and saturation settings, with dimming available in 0.1% increments.

For wireless control, both lights work with the NANLINK App 2.0. NFC is built in to speed up app pairing and allow batch DMX configuration across multiple fixtures.

For wired control in larger setups, both fixtures include 5-pin XLR DMX IN and OUT ports. They support DMX and RDM protocols for integration with lighting consoles.

Fan modes and noise

The FC-720B and FC-720C include four fan modes: Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed, and Off. In Smart mode, fan noise measures approximately 26 dB(A), which suits audio-sensitive environments. The trade-off is that lower fan speeds reduce maximum output. In Smart mode and Full Speed mode, maximum output is 100%. In Low Speed mode, maximum output is 50%. With the fan off, maximum output is limited to 10%.

Both fixtures use a standard Bowens mount, making them compatible with a wide range of softboxes, reflectors, projection attachments, and other Bowens-mount accessories. An umbrella mount is also included. The yoke supports 360° tilt of the fixture body.
