Lightweight all-round zoom with great optics from Samyang
Samyang AF 24–60mm F2.8 FESamyang introduces the AF 24–60mm F2.8 FE, a fast all-round zoom lens for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras. Designed to work equally well for landscapes, lifestyle photography and portraits, it is light, compact, and easy to carry every day. Weighing just 494 g and measuring 126 mm at full extension, it keeps gear bags small while delivering a constant F2.8 aperture across the zoom range.
Co-developed with Schneider-Kreuznach, the lens combines advanced design with outstanding optical performance. Its 14-element, 11-group construction features three HR, two ED, and three aspherical elements, along with UMC coating to minimize aberrations and maintain strong contrast and colour. A 9-blade diaphragm creates smooth background blur, making it easy to separate subjects from their surroundings.
A linear STM drive ensures fast, silent autofocus with precise tracking, ideal for capturing moving subjects or achieving smooth, natural focus transitions in video. An AF/MF switch allows quick changes when manual focus is preferred.
The lens also offers excellent close-up capability: 0.18 m (0.27×) at 24 mm and 0.32 m (0.25×) at 60 mm, making it simple to capture detailed shots without switching lenses.
the AF 24–60mm F2.8 FE is built for reliability and features a strong aluminium frame, an IP5X dust- and splash-resistant design, and a water- and oil-repellent coating. A 72 mm front filter thread keeps accessory use straightforward.
