Focus Sport Optics launches the new Focus Track II
Focus Track IIThe new Focus Track II combines 8x42 binoculars with an integrated laser rangefinder in a lightweight and compact design. The range comprises two models: the Focus Track II 8x42 HD RF 1500 m and the Focus Track II 8x42 ED RF 1500 m.
Both models feature four measurement modes and a red-illuminated distance display. The Focus Track II has been developed for hunting and other activities where observation and distance measurement need to be carried out using the same instrument. The measurement result is displayed directly in the field of view in red digits, making the information clear even in low light or against detailed backgrounds.
Four measuring modes for different situations
The rangefinder has four modes tailored to different types of targets and terrain. M1 is a multi-function mode that measures direct distance, horizontal distance, vertical distance and angle. This is useful in hilly terrain or when measuring from an elevated position. M2 prioritises the closest object and can be used when there are trees, buildings or other objects behind the target to be measured. M3, on the other hand, prioritises the more distant target, for example when branches or bushes are in the foreground. M4 is used to measure the speed of a moving target.
Two optical options
Focus Track II is available with either HD or ED glass. The HD version provides a sharp, bright image with good contrast and is suitable for general use in hunting and observation. The ED version uses extra-low-dispersion glass. This provides more accurate colour reproduction and reduces aberration around the subject’s edges, particularly in high-contrast or challenging lighting conditions. Both models feature 8x magnification, a 42 mm objective lens and fully multi-coated optics.
Easy adjustment in the field
The centrally positioned focus wheel makes it easy to adjust the focus whilst observing. A separate parallax compensation ring is used to fine-tune the target image, the reticle and the displayed measurement information.
The design is lightweight and optimised for extended use in the field. The binoculars have an IP54 rating, meaning they are protected against dust and water splashes.
