Focus Nordic starts to distribute Eastman Kodak films

Focus Nordic is pleased to announce that it will begin distributing photographic film directly from Eastman Kodak Company, adding the new range alongside its existing portfolio of Kodak films from Kodak Alaris.

For more than a century, Kodak has played a central role in making photography accessible to photographers around the world, and today the growing interest in analogue photography continues to bring new generations to film.

Eastman Kodak Company was founded in 1888 by George Eastman, whose ambition was to simplify photography and make it available to a much wider audience. Over the following decades, Kodak became one of the defining companies in photography, developing films, cameras and imaging technologies that helped shape both professional photography and everyday picture-taking.

Following Eastman Kodak Company’s restructuring, Kodak Alaris was formed as an independent company in 2013. Kodak Alaris licensed the Kodak brand and took responsibility for marketing and distributing a large part of the Kodak still-photography film portfolio, while Eastman Kodak continued to manufacture photographic film in Rochester, New York.

In late 2025, Eastman Kodak took a new step by launching its own direct-to-distributor range of still-photography films. This means that photographic films manufactured by Eastman Kodak can now reach photographers through both Eastman Kodak and Kodak Alaris product portfolios.

For Focus Nordic, the new agreement means that Eastman Kodak films will be added alongside the existing Kodak Alaris assortment rather than replacing it.

Eastman Kodak and Kodak Alaris are two separate companies, but they share an incredible photographic heritage and a name that photographers have trusted for generations. For us, this is not about replacing one Kodak range with another. By distributing Eastman Kodak alongside our existing Kodak Alaris portfolio, we can offer our customers a broader selection and give retailers and photographers even better access to some of the world’s most iconic photographic films,” says Rebecca Laanemets, Product Manager at Focus Nordic.

Eastman Kodak’s still-film portfolio includes both consumer and professional films, ranging from familiar Kodak products to the recently introduced EKTACOLOR PRO and EKTAPAN families. The range covers colour negative, black-and-white and colour reversal films for photographers working across everything from everyday and street photography to portrait, landscape and professional applications.


Eastman Kodak films will be available through Focus Nordic’s network of photographic retailers across its markets.
