With the new Shinobi II, Atomos continues to evolve its line of monitors for creators and filmmakers.
The new improved monitor comes in a new slim design that is 1 cm thinner than the previous model and the 5" HDR touchscreen has an improved brightness of 1500nits, which helps when shooting in bright sunlight.
An external monitor can be an invaluable tool for filmmakers. It helps you see what's in focus when you're shooting with your camera, which usually has a slightly smaller screen where it can be difficult to see all the details. The new Shinobi monitor comes packed with features like Focus Peaking, False Color, Cine and Social Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Areas, Waveform, RGB Parade and much more.
Another new feature is that the monitor can now control the most common camera settings such as white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed/angle and ISO via USB-C or Lanc. At launch, Shinobi II will be able to control most Canon, Panasonic and Sony mirrorless cameras, as well as all Z CAM E2 series models. Future plans include support for Fujifilm, Nikon, OM System and Sigma cameras.
The monitor features Atomos' robust lockable cable system to ensure a solid connection while shooting and prevent cable breaks.
