Insta360 announces the Antigravity A1, the world’s first 360 drone, designed for simple flying and flexible video capture. Antigravity A1 is a light, foldable 360 drone with 8K video, motion control and vision goggles that put you in the middle of the scene. It records everything around you in one flight and is easy to bring on almost any trip.

360 video from a single flight

A1 records 8K 360° panoramic video with lenses on the top and bottom of the drone. An Insta360 stitching algorithm hides the drone body in the final image, so viewers see only the scene.

With 360 capture, pilots do not have to decide on one fixed angle while flying. A1 captures every direction in one take. After the flight, users can reframe the footage to front, side, top-down or backward views, and export in formats such as 16:9 or 9:16 from the same master clip.

The drone weighs 249 g and has a foldable design. This makes it easy to carry and helps it fit within common sub-250 g drone categories in many markets. The Infinity bundle has a bigger battery and weights 291 g.

Immersive view with Vision goggles and Grip controller

A1 works together with Antigravity Vision goggles to give a live 360 view in flight. With head tracking, pilots can look around freely inside the video feed while the drone continues on its path. The goggles use Pancake optics and Micro-OLED displays with 2560×2560 resolution per eye, a 90° field of view, and diopter adjustment from +2D to –5D and are TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified.

Control is handled by the Grip motion controller. In FreeMotion mode, users point the controller in the direction they want to go and pull the trigger; the drone moves in that direction without the need for classic stick inputs or a screen. A separate FPV control mode is available for pilots who prefer traditional wrist-based control. For planned shots, A1 supports smart modes such as Sky Path for pre-built routes, Sky Genie for automatic moves like spiral orbits, and Deep Track for subject tracking. These modes are designed to make repeatable, stable flights easier to achieve.

Flight safety, batteries and lenses

To protect the lenses during take-off and landing, A1 uses auto landing gear that extends when the drone is powered on, retracts after take-off, and extends again before landing.

A 360 horizontal obstacle avoidance system monitors the flight path and works together with Navigation Assist in the goggles to keep the forward view visible at all times. An auto return-to-home function can bring the drone back to its starting point while avoiding obstacles. A payload detection system helps prevent flights with excess weight.

A1 supports two battery types: a standard battery with up to 23 minutes of flight time and a high-capacity battery that comes with the Infinity bundle, with up to 36 minutes. The optional charging hub can pool power from several batteries into the one with the highest remaining charge.

The drone also features a replaceable lens design, allowing damaged lenses to be swapped without replacing the entire camera block.
