Sirui dabbled in the full-frame anamorphic world by releasing its 50mm T2.9 1.6x in September 2021, which received highly favorable reviews from filmmakers. Now its time to add another lens to its line-up of Anamorphic lenses for full frame sensors, the Sirui Anamorphic 1,6X FF 75MM T2.9.
It´s a longer focal length than the previous 50mm which makes it more suitable for interviews, portraits and close-ups.
Just like the previous 50mm this lens produces a 1.6x squeeze factor and provides a stronger anamorphic look over the APS-C 1.33x version. It has a 75mm focal length, while behaving like a 46mm horizontally. This squeeze factor will result in a 2.4:1 aspect ratio image when using a 3:2 sensor mode or an even wider 2.8:1 frame when you set your sensor to a 16:9 mode.
Optical construction consists of 15 elements divided into 13 groups. A 10-blade aperture provide a smooth, silky and flattering oval bokeh, which adds a strong cinematic feeling to the video with subtle blue lens flares.
Thanks to the great optical construction the lens is 8K-ready and you’ll have no problem getting super crisp wide-screen shots on this lens, with the subject being exceptionally sharp and the background soft and natural.
The lens has a robust construction, the housing is made of lightweight aluminium alloy. It features an 82mm filter thread, and a 1/4'' threaded holder on the bottom of the lens.
Both focus (95.5° rotation) and aperture rings are geared with unified position as the previous 50mm FF.
The lens comes in four different mounts; Canon RF, Sony E, Panasonic L and Nikon Z and is a perfect match for cameras like Panasonic S1H, Sony FX3 and Red Komodo.
