A powerful allrounder for Fuji X mount from Tamron
Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Fuji XTamron introduces a compact all-round zoom for Fujifilm that provides superb image quality with a large aperture of F/ 2.8 throughout the entire zoom range.
The new Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD is a versatile all-round lens that works great for a variety of different scenarios. It´s compact, lightweight and with a zoom range that suits most types of photography. Thanks to the versatile focal length it works great for landscape photos in wide-angle mode and sharp portraits with a creamy bokeh in tele-mode. The lens also has minimum focusing distance of 19cm that makes it suitable for macro photography. Despite all this, it also has a great aperture of F/ 2.8 over the entire zoom range.
The lens is equipped with Tamrons popular RXD stepping motor that produces a swift and accurate autofocus with smooth focus transitions. All this together with a minimal focus breathing makes it equally perfect for both photography and videography.
The 17-70mm F/2.8 utilizes Tamron's highly regarded, proprietary VC image stabilization to maximize the inherent optical performance of the lens. It reduces the degradation of picture quality caused by minute camera shake that is likely to occur during handheld shooting at slow shutter speeds under low-light conditions
When shooting video, by leveraging AI technology, image stabilization performance improves compared to conventional models.
The optical construction of the 17-70mm F/2.8 consists of 16 elements in 12 groups. Two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) and one hybrid aspherical lens elements are precisely arranged to maintain high-resolution performance from edge to edge.
The lens has moisture-resistant construction and Fluorine coating makes the front lens dirt and water-repellent and thus useful even in harsh weather conditions.
