A new smartphone gimbal with AI features from Zhiyun

Zhiyun continues to develop its popular Smooth series of gimbals for smartphones. The new Smooth 5S AI is an extra powerful gimbal with features usually only found in larger camera gimbals, as well as several smart AI features.

 

Designed for today's larger smartphones, the new gimbal has three strong axes that can handle orthogonal movement and move freely with a load of up to 300g.

A new AI tracker module can now be attached to the top of the mobile mount using an intuitive magnetic attachment. The module allows you to simply mark a target on the mobile and the gimbal will follow. The module supports start/stop shooting within the Zhiyun app or native camera, as well as custom framing tracking. With the help of the module is it also possible to use gesture control to control the camera. With gesture control the user can give commands like start recording, start tracking and custom framing.

The AI module also helps to recover the tracking after reframing the shot.

The intuitive magnetic attachments can also be used to attach two fill lights. The powerful LEDs have a colour temperature of 5000K, a 90+ CRI and together with the built-in LED illumination of 680 lux can provide a full 2040 lux.

 

The gimbal is easy to use with an all-in-one control panel and a large zoom/focus wheel. It comes with several creative modes and when paired the ZY app features the exclusive SMART mode that has a vast collection of intelligent video templates, providing user-friendly editing and one-click video production for enhanced convenience.
