A new generation of all-in-one zoom lens from Tamron

Tamron 25–200mm F/2.8–5.6 Di III VXD G2

Tamron announces the development of the 25–200mm F/2.8–5.6 Di III VXD G2 for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. Building on the success of the 28–200mm F/2.8–5.6 Di III RXD, the new G2 expands the wide end to 25mm while retaining the 200mm telephoto reach, delivering impressive resolution and versatility in a compact form for everyday photography.

Re-engineered optics and mechanics provide improved image quality, faster and more precise autofocus driven by Tamron’s VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor, and enhanced usability with a refined exterior for better handling. One of the standout features is the outstanding close-up capability, offering half-macro shooting with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:1.9 at 25mm. The lens also supports Tamron Lens Utility software, allowing users to customise functions and tailor their shooting experience.
