Financial wellbeing startup, Dreams (www.getdreams.com), has been included on CB Insights’ Fintech 250, a prestigious list of emerging private companies working on groundbreaking financial technology.
The 2020 edition of Fintech 250 marks the third year of CB Insights naming the best fintechs globally, with previous lists recognising industry leading companies such as Monzo, Revolut, TransferWise and N26.
CB Insights is an American company providing a business analytics platform and global database that provides market intelligence on private companies and investor activities. This year’s Fintech 250 was selected from a pool of 16,000 companies, including applicants and nominees, based on several factors, such as market potential, investor quality, partnerships, team strength, and tech novelty.
Dreams is one of a smaller number of fintechs to be honored for its achievements in the ‘Personal Finance’ category.
CB Insights CEO Anand Sanwal comments: “We're proud to, once again, recognize the 250 best private fintech companies globally. This year's Fintech 250 represents 25 countries and spans 19 categories -- reimagining everything from retail banking and crypto, to insurance and asset management. The previous Fintech 250 class raised more than $22 billion in investor financing and saw more than 20 exits after being recognized, and we expect this year's class will have similar success as they continue to transform how people and businesses spend, save, borrow, and invest their money.”
Henrik Rosvall, CEO and co-founder of Dreams comments: “We are really pleased to have been named by CB Insights as one of the world’s leading fintechs. It is always fantastic when Dreams receives recognition for being an innovative company given all the hard work our team has put in to build our product to the high standard it is today. A large part of our successes to date have been reliant on the research of renowned academics and behavioural scientists, as well as close communication with our users and strategic partners. Beyond our incredible team there are a whole load of individuals out there who should be very proud of this achievement. Previous years’ lists include fintechs who are now unicorns and some of the world's best players within our space, so it is fair to say that being named on the Fintech 250 puts us in very good company indeed.”
