Cochlear

Cochlear Ltd As the global leader in implantable hearing solutions, Cochlear have provided more than 700,000 implantable devices – more than any other company – helping people of all ages to hear and connect with life’s opportunities. Cochlear headquarters are based in Sydney, at the heart of the Australian Hearing Hub, one of the world’s most unique hearing precincts. The product portfolio consists of Cochlear Implants and Bone conduction implants. Cochlear Implants Cochlear implants help those with severe to profound hearing loss in both ears who are not receiving enough benefit when using hearing aids. They replace the function of damaged sensory hair cells inside the inner ear to help provide clearer sound than hearing aids can provide. Bone conduction implants When someone has hearing loss, it may impact the hearing nerve's ability to send sound information to the brain. A bone conduction implant system can bypass these damaged or blocked parts of the ear and deliver sound vibrations directly to the inner ear, where it can be turned into sounds the brain can understand.
